Pizzeria Vecchia Napoli in Dresden

Cozy atmosphere with nice staff. Anyone who simply asks for places for 8 people needs luck. The food is very good there. Unfortunately the pana cotta ran out at our late visiting hours. But no problem, the menu selection is more than sufficient.

Some of the most delicious and genuine italian food outside Italy. Unfortunately the place is closing in two months time after 25 years. Please enjoy before to late..! Vecchia Napoli had though times with the pandemic close down. What a pity!!

Very cozy place. Food very, very good. I had spaghetti with anchovies, capers, garlic, olives, everything a bit hot and really tasty. Family had e pizza margherita, spaghetti carbonara, everything was also very, very good. Keep it up!!!

Nice place! It has good dishes, and the price seemed good to me, the attention was also very good. The bathrooms are very clean and well decorated. I recommend it without a doubt!

So I don't know where to start The waiter very rude and very low Maybe we didn't fit into the restaurant in terms of appearance, but I expect friendliness and a good meal, that's what I'm paying for A pizza was forgotten and instead of an apology, a swear. The other 2 were cold and the salmon on the pizza was no longer in good shape This restaurant will never enter again One star is too much

Amazing Pizza

Based on the reviews of other users, we decided today to go to Vecchia Napoli. The service was very nice, the food came super fast and tasted absolutely delicious. If we visited Dresden again we would definitely eat there again!

Excellent, authentic food!

Nice Italian pub. At the beginning, entertainment was brisk and agile. After the meal was cleared up hesitantly and hardly asked if you wanted to drink something. Clearly not enough staff and that at Christmas. Food is ok. Toilets clean and tidy. Maybe the staff got a bad day.

The food was wonderful. The service was in a bad mood and did not want to tip.

Okay pizza grumpy service

If I could leave zero stars I would. Where do I start? The pizzas we received looked nothing like the images listed here. I wish I had taken a picture, because they looked and tasted more like high quality frozen pizzas. We asked for buffalo mozzarella but the quality was so bad that it was nearly indestinguishable from average mozzarella. To make matters worse, the staff was not transparent about the cost of the cheese upgrade either. Upon receipt of the bill we sadly found out that the Buffalo mozzarella was 4 euros for each pizza! The standard price for this is usually around 2 euros. Honestly, I would excuse all of these numbers and circumstances if we'd been satisfied with the quality of the meal but we weren't! When we complained about the 8,00 surcharge for our substitutions we were met with a complacent stare and not a single apology. The substitutions cost more than the pizza itself! Shame on you, Vecchia Napoli. Won't be returning.

Delicious food, nice and friendly staff. I definitely recommend this place. An Italian friend recommended this place to me and I really enjoyed it.

A good place to eat pizza... few years ago. Now the point is low quality, low quantity same prices counting on the fact that people is stupid and will go there because google rating is still above 4. Had a portion of fish (say 100g) with half cooked potatoes for 18.50 Euros. My friends tried the pizza... no need to say it was small and poor of ingredients, low quality nothing coming from Italy. Have you heard of the only-carb diet? Had to buy a sandwich in front after dinner.

Food is okay. The lady of the service was not in the thing ... than the first appetizer forgot ... then came the wrong appetizer, the right starter came then parallel to the main course: /

Laid-back and cosy atmosphere in low-light surroundings. Great pizza and the focaccia starters are simple but excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly and the whole place has a homely feel.

One of our favorite restaurants in which we always like to go. The staff is always very friendly, the service top and the food very very good. From experience is definitely advisable to order, just for safety;)

My kids love this place, mainly because they can speak Italian with the pizzaiolo. Impeccable service, very warm and welcoming. Pizza is good, with soft high rim and nice toppings. My daughter takes always spaghetti alla bolognese and she seems happy with that. I suggest antipasto with San Daniele focaccia.

Nice Italian Ristorante in Dresden Neustadt with wonderful Neapolitan Pizza. Good ingredients, juicy, fluffy edge - the pizzaiolo understands his craft. Relaxed, cozy atmosphere with attentive waiters. Everything was fine - for many years a perennial favorite, which one likes to visit again.

Great service and lovely meal.

One of the BEST pizzas I've ever had! Their carbonara pasta was so and so...I'd definitely stick to pizzas in this restaurant. The waiters were super nice and polite about us staying after opening hours. Would definitely come back here again. Their pizza is not to be missed out on...I still drool by by thought of it ?

Best Italian restaurant with value and taste. The most authentic Italian around Dresden and great staff and management! Skip the big Italian chains and keep it local. These guys have been here many years and it shows how different they are from the rest! Would recommend!!!

One star for a flat out refusal to bring tapwater for a person who was unwell. I should note that a bottle of water was in fact purchased earlier.

In my opinion the best pizza in town. Occasionally it can be somewhat informal with the service, but still quite acceptable.

I've been there several times, and I definitely will return. So far, it's the only restaurant I've ever been to outside of Naples where I could get an actual, real, Neapolitan pizza. The food quality seems to vary with the days, but it's always very good. My only negative note is about the environment, which tries to imitate a street scene in Naples and features many fake paintings of city views and people, and which I frankly find quite kitsch and embarrassing.
